This is the first step of our new and much-improved personalization journey and there are many other new features coming soon! 😏
But we bet some of you are wondering: What’s precisely Customily 2.0, and what’s different from the previous version of it? 🤔
Well, Customily 2.0 is a new way to configure and sell your personalized products with just a few clicks. With this new update, you will be able to set up the basics of your store, like product mock-ups and designs, and then easily mix and match them to configure all your products with just a few clicks.
Also, you can now choose products directly from the most popular POD catalogs, like Printful or Printify, and apply designs to them with just one click.
Another amazing improvement is that now Customily includes new and exclusive design libraries for you to use freely on your products! Not only you will have access to thousands of clipart designs, but also fully designed templates ready to apply to any product.
And, last but not least, with this new update, you will be able to edit all the details of your product and publish it on your store directly from Customily, so creating a new product listing in your store will be faster than ever.
Let’s take a look at the new functionalities, one by one 🔥
New starting menu
Now, your Customily journey starts here:
You can easily start the creation of a new product, create a new design, or a product base from here.
Once you already have designs and product bases created, your home page will look something like this:
Creating a new product
If you click on “Create new product” now you’ll see different POD provider options to choose from, as well as the option “my product bases”.
If you do everything in-house, you will need to upload your product bases first. If you want to work with a POD provider, you can explore their different catalogs to choose a product directly from them. Either way, you don't need to have the product already published in your store, you will generate everything from here.
POD suppliers
You will find different POD provider options here. Now you can choose to work with Printful, Printify, or Casestry, but there are many others coming soon. As soon as we have their catalogs uploaded, new providers will appear in this section.
If you see the logo in grey color instead of full color, you may need to connect your Customily account to the corresponding POD account to start using Customily 2.0 and automate fulfillment.
If that’s your case, go to your Printify/Printful dashboard to find the API Key, and then insert the API Key on your Customily app (Store / Settings / Integrations / Enable the selected provider and paste the API Key).
My product bases
Here you will be able to upload your own product bases. Maybe you don’t want to work with a POD supplier, which is totally fine! That’s why you need a place to upload your own product catalog and that’s exactly what you’re going to do here.
When creating a product base, you will need to pre-define the print area your product will have and the image of the product you will show to your customers.

Customily’s design libraries
This is one of the best parts of the new updates: now you have design libraries all ready to use! This means you can pick any of the designs we offer, apply them to your products and start selling them for free!
We’re constantly updating the libraries, so you will always have new designs to offer. From the classical options for mothers, fathers, and friends, to special collections for Halloween, Christmas, or Valentine’s Day. You will have plenty of options to choose from.
Also, remember that by using Customily’s designs you can also unlock the clipart collections on your user. So if you just want to use for example a dog collection to create your own design, you will be able to do that too!

My designs
Here is where you can create your own art, which you will later apply to all the products you want to sell! From simple designs with a couple of texts to complex ones with many elements and conditions. There are a lot of features for you to use, including Customily’s clipart collections. The options are unlimited!

Editing your product
Whatever combination of product and design you use, you will get to the editing screen where you will be able to preview your product and edit anything you need before publishing the product on your store.
Once here you will see that all the personalization options for your product have been created automatically, and you will be able to try them and preview them as the final user will do in your store. You can edit anything from these options here too, by clicking edit options.
You can also edit the product details: title, description, price, and image.
TIP !! There's a cool feature here that allows you to save the image of the personalization you're trying as the product photo. We highly recommend using this and showing the product with the personalization on it as the main photo, so the customer can understand how it looks from the start. POD products come with a "white canvas" image for default, but with this tool, you can easily change it for one with personalization instead.
So, to sum up, how can you use Customily 2.0? 🤔
There are 4 easy ways that you can create your products and get them published in your store:
Use a product from a POD provider + Add a design from Customily’s library.
Use your own product base + Add a design from Customily’s library.
Use a product from a POD provider + Add your own design.
Use your own product base + Add your own design.
With the first option, you can have products published and ready to sell literally IN SECONDS, so if you’re just starting with your store, this is a great option 😉
Bear in mind that once you have a good set of your own product bases and designs created, mixing and matching them to create dozens of products is just a matter of clicks!
Whichever combination you use, the fun part is this: there’s no need for you to create option sets or products in Shopify. Pick your product, add the design and Customily will do the rest. The option sets for the personalization will be generated automatically, as well as the product will be published in your Shopify store from here, with just a few clicks. Amazing right? ✨
