Institution of VFW Pleasanton Post 12162

Texas VFW District 20 Supervision were present to witness the Institution of newly formed VFW Pleasanton Post 12162 by the Department Commander Eddie Torres and the Chief of Staff Larry Sanders in Pleasanton, Texas on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 7 PM. City Council were present for this historic event along with an ROTC unit that presented and posted the Colors. A Patriot’s Day Ceremony was accomplished by newly elected Commander Steve Mueller to commemorate that tragic event that happen on 9-11. Designation of Pleasanton High School a “Purple Heart School”

Patriots,

You are encouraged and invited to attend a ceremony at the Pleasanton High School in Pleasanton, Texas. Superintendent Matthew Mann will proclaim Pleasanton High School a “Purple Heart School” on Thursday November 9, 2017 at 7:30 AM.

Agenda:

7:30 am Pleasanton JROTC will march the Battalion into the Stadium and align them on east side of field behind hash marks facing west.

8:00 am UH60 Blackhawk Medivac Helicopter lands in practice field or parking lot on east side of stadium.

8:05 am Review of Cadet Battalion by Reviewing Officer

8:15 am Presentation of Colors and National Anthem

8:20 am Official designation of Pleasanton H..S. as Purple Heart School by the Military Order of the Purple Heart Department of Texas Sr. Vice Commander Jon Lunkwicz.

8:25 am Cadet Battalion executes Pass in Review in front of review stand and marches back to JROTC.

8:30 – 11:30 am National Guard recruiters available at helicopter to discuss Military, Medical and Aviation careers through the National Guard – available to students and classes.

The purpose is to honor those who serve in the military, veterans, those who have served in combat, and their families. We love to have other service members. All are welcomed who support our combat wounded!!!
