TEXAS VFW DISTRICT 20 AWARDS CEREMONY

Texas VFW District 20 sponsors a Patriots Pen, Voice of Democracy and a Citizen’s Teacher Programs Awards Ceremony on 21 January 2018 from 1 to 4 pm at VFW Post 4815. A welcoming and lunch prayer was addressed by District 20 Chaplain Jack Steel. Following lunch, a Memorial Ceremony was held for all those VFW Comrades from all 18 Posts in District 20 that passed away for the year. Following the Memorial first part of the event, the Awards presentation for District 20 winners of the Patriots Pen, Voice of Democracy and Citizen Teacher Programs were presented.

Patriot Pen 1st Place Gerald Naegalin

VFW Lytle Post 12041 nominated the 1st Place Patriots Pen winner, Gerald Naegalin, from Lytle, Texas. Won at Post and District 20 levels. Top left photo (first page) L to R, Post Commander Larry L. VOD 1st Place Valerie Warwas

VFW Post 4815 nominated the 1st Place Voice of Democracy winner, Valerie Warwas, from San Antonio, Texas. Won at Post and District 20 levels. Teacher Michelle Guyer

VFW Post 7108 nominated Teacher, Michelle A. Guyer, won at Post, District 20 and Department (State) levels and will now compete for National level recognition with all levels awarding monetary amounts.
